Originally
from New Jersey, Dr. Pelura decided to stay in Maryland after
being discharged from the Air Force. After receiving his
B.S. from the University of Maryland, he spent 6 years at Purdue
University obtaining a Masters Degree in Animal Nutrition and
a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He then completed an
internship at the Reisterstown Veterinary Center. From 1983
to the present, he has made his home in Southern Anne Arundel
County, Maryland. He is a member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association, the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association,
the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the Maryland
Association of Equine Practitioners and the American Academy of
Veterinary Nutrition. He was listed in Who's Who In Veterinary
Science and Medicine from 1989 - 1992.
While
his primary interests are equine reproduction and small animal
soft tissue surgery, all aspects of veterinary medicine have a
place in his daily practice.
